Six Months Later

Yes, six months .. and a bit quite probably. I think the idea is to enter the chat room once a month at least (or weekly ... or daily)but I have found the past months difficult. Funny how the hill got steeper when we knew we were nearly at the end of the slog.

But enough already. It's my birthday tomorrow and I'm going out to tea. I have been writing and performing some very jolly stories and poems .. lovely to be performing live again and I'm very much looking forward to being a featured poet at Southampton's Art House next month. I'm looking at the stories and getting them polished for recording. You tube? CD? Tucked into a little book? Who knows. The world is so loud now that one hesitates to add to the clamour, but I would like to do something with them.

I am having a delightful time with My Natural Voice choir, Sounds Lively, who invited me to become their leader last November. I first joined the choir not long after I arrived on the Island, a bit fragile and isolated. It held me up, as singing together often does.

I have had three raised beds made in place of a deck we never used and will spend this summer growing vegetables and discouraging pests. Like Candide, I will repair me to the garden.
