The bookshops are open again, hooray!if you have enjoyed my poems and would like to see more, outlets are listed on my Books page. And may I recommend, for those of you who have young people feeling a bit wobbly about their place in the world, "I Want to be Tall not Small", a lovely book by local author and illustrator, Shirley Adams.
I'm still zooming;next Southampton Art House date on the Home page. Actually did a live reading at the Waverley yesterday in the garden. The Waverley Folk and Music nights have been carefully re introduced and it is a joy to see everybody unpixelated.
Hair is cut, curls are gone and I'm going to get my nails done this afternoon. Flippertygibbet!
I've added a couple of new poems to the Poetry page. "Nordic Walking";it really is good for me, especially with the dodgy hips and knees. I learned how to do it with an instructor,Andy Savage, a good idea ... not just walking waving a stick or two! The other one is prompted by Planet Aware's Ocean Challenge, seven brilliant things to do over the summer. You will find details at planetaware.co.uk/summerchallenge. Remember your hat and sunscreen.
And your bathers! Have you noticed how many businesses in these difficult times have been putting out the invitation "bare with us"? surely not on the Isle of Wight (I'll keep my mask on please).
Finally, a new video. The roses are resting at the moment so I've moved to another part of the garden.
See you next month.
